Hi, I am Tommy and I spend every minute I can spare in the outdoors. I love to try new stuff and learned a lot on my adventures. On this site I want to share all the gear I use outside.

Tent
My absolute favourite tent and unbeatable in price-value. It is super light, packs down super small and I love the look. The white material is also super eco-friendly. You need to bring trekking poles to pitch this tent.
I have the one-person version but you can find a two-person version here.
I have the one-person version but you can find a two-person version here.
If you do not like to hike with trekking poles or are looking for a free-standing tent I would recommend the Forclaz Trekking Dome Tent MT900 Minimal Edition.
Backpacks
My go-to backpack for 2-3 day adventures. It is lightweight, comfortable and fits everything I need for a few days in the mountains. It feels a bit like a trail-runnig-vest and you can hike super fast with this backpack. A bonus for me is the ability to use my soft-flasks with this pack.
My daypack which I also use for trail-running. Super light, has all the advantages of a running-vest but you get the bonus of having a small backpack for clothes, food and some gear. If you go super minimal you could also use this as an over-night backpack.
Shoes
Probalby the best shoe I ever owned. I use it for hiking and running and it is just perfect. I tore my ACL when I was younger and sometimes feel my knee after a long day of sports but these shoes support my knee perfeclty. I haven't felt my knee a single time. These shoes are waterproof which makes them perfect for winter and wet conditions. If it is super dry and hot your feet might get a bit sweaty. I would recommend these shoes for hot days in summer.
My shoes for winter and snowy conditions. Waterproof and warm but still super lightweight. I just love lightweight shoes and hate to have something bulky and heavy on my feet.
Jackets
Yes, I really like Haglöfs stuff :) My go-to Jacket that I bring with me every time. Hiking, trail-running, ski-touring kayaking, chilling at the beach. You name it. It is perfect for spring, autumn and the not super-cold winter days but I also bring it with me in summer for the chilly evenings. If is rains a lot or is super windy you can wear this jacket under a hard-shell.
It is filled with a syntetic material which means it is not as warm as down jacket but it also keeps you warm when it gets super wet.
My super compact, lightweight and minimal rain jacket. Perfect for running or to have in your backpack on the trail. This is not a hard-shell jacket for wintersports. I would rather recommend this one here instead.
Trousers
I don't need many pockets on my outdoor pants. I just want it to be light, keep the wind off and carry my phone.
Camera Equipment
The perfect camera for the outdoors. Compact, insanely good image quality and the best camera on the market when it comes to low-light performance. If you want safe some cash and can sacrifice a little bit of image quality I would recommend this camera here instead.
Super compact but high quality and versatile lens. Perfect for landscape, vlogging and action. Not good for wildlife.
This lens can do it all and if I could only have one lens this one would be it. It is a bit heavy and bulky to fit into your backpack for a multi-day hike and would rather use the Tamron 20-40 on a long trip.
I used to fly the super bulky Phantom 4 and bring it to the mountains in its super heavy foam case but the DJI Mini gives me everything I need. If you have a bit more space in your pack and want to have even better image quality consider this drone here.
The perfect tripod for travelling and the outdoors in my opinion. Compact and lightweight for a tripod at least. Super easy to use and reliable. I use the aluminium version as I don't see the advantage of paying almost double the price for the carbon-fibre version.
My shotgun mic I always carry on my camera. Perfect for vlogging and travel videos. I also use it to record voice-overs in my studio as it connects directy to your computer via USB-C.
Whenever size and weight are essential I use the GoPro. The camera I film my "Sports Every Day for One Year" Challenge on. I only use these Batteries as the work crazy realiable even at the coldest temperatures.
My backpack when I am on production and only carry my camera equipment.
Electronics
This device lets you stay in contact with your friends and family when you are hiking where there is no cell service. It also has an SOS button to get in contact with rescue services no matter where you are as it communicates via satellite. You will need a monthly subscription to use this device.
If you do not bring a lot of camera gear to the mountains this power bank may be overkill and a smaller one will do. I charge all my batteries and my phone with this device. I love to have some extra juice so I do not need to worry about tracking my trail on my phone, watching some videos in the evening and texting with friends and family.
Outdoor Equipment
My Sleeping Bag for cold temperatures and winter camping or if I want to feel super cosy in my tent. It is always better to have a sleeping bag that is a bit warmer than needed. You can always open it up if it gets to warm inside. The only downside: You have to carry a bit of a heavier and bulkier pack.
I have an older sleeping pad you can't buy anymore but this one here is basically the same. It keeps you warm in winter but is also perfect for warmer temperatures as it is ultra-compact and super light.
I always cook on gas when I am in the outdoors and for bigger cooking endeavours it is great to have a stable stove that sits flat on the ground. If you are looking for a small and light stove check out this one here.
The Optimus Vega also works great in cooler temperatures when other gas stoves already struggle. When you go out in arctic conditions or to super high altitudes you will need a gasoline stove.
Most of the time I just bring one pot with me to boil water, prepare and eat food and to dring tea. Titanium is lightweight and expensive. An Aluminum pot would also do the job. 600ml is the perfect size for me.
A water filter is always great to have. Not that you will immediatly die if you drink unfiltered water in the outdoors but a sickness will end your trip in an instant. It is no fun having diarrhea in a canyon with no cell-coverage and 20km to the next road (speaking out of experience here unfortunately).
There is nothing worse than not having a place to sit down and relax after a long day in the mountains. So just bring this pad. It costs nothing, ways nothing and fits everywhere.
A first-aid kit is an absolute must. It can save your life and the life of your loved ones but it is more than that. A small blister or little cut can end your long-planned and expensive backpacking trip in just a minute if you haven't got the right stuff to deal with it.
