MOVE FORWARD

Commercial for Kalkhoff Bikes

Malmö - The city where Scandinavia meets Europe is the place that inspires me the most. Its design is so futuristic, but you can still feel the classical beauty of Sweden at every corner. Being mobile and free out here lets me be the creative I am and suites my modern lifestyle perfectly. Malmö is the place that moves my life forward.

DAS BRUCHSTÜCKHAFTE

Documentary for Analogtheater

Visualising the intangibility of the concept of identity in a kaleidoscopic manner. Based on the family history of Lara Pietjou, whose grandmother Netty survived the Holocaust in hiding in the Netherlands, the film explores the transgenerational effects of trauma.

Furthermore it connects Pietjou's eventful family history with contemporary Jewish voices from art, culture, and politics, reflecting on themes such as memory, dual identity, and belonging. Raising questions about the significance of the present and the past for Jewish life in Germany today.

GROW

Music Video for Maryaka

There are traces of you on my armchair, the smell of you still hanging in the air. And I called you, just to hear you speak, and I know I shouldn't have, but I'm too weak. And I know in many ways you helped me grow. At least we're watching the same sky. I had a dream that you were still mine, and I know in many ways you helped me grow.

THE ROADTRIP - DREAMING FORWARD

Documentary for Pandora Pop

From Buffalo Bill to Karl May, from Pocahontas to Sitting Bull – where does the German enthusiasm for the indigenous people of North America come from? What projection surface do they offer for one's own self? What for many is a fond memory of their childhood is simultaneously a problematic narrative fraught with prejudice and exploitation. Throughout history, Native Nations have been repeatedly romanticised and exploited. Whether consciously or not, the Eurocentric perspective still dominates our understanding of the world today.

EXPLORING THE UNKNOWN

Commercial for Kalkhoff Bikes

There is no way to romanticise this journey. In the end, gravel is just a fancy word for the unknown. And I'll spend countless hours on these gravel roads for sure. Why am I doing this? Why am I out here?
To be honest. I don't know. Maybe that's the reason I am out here. To find out more about myself.
